Earth Day - 2012

For Earth day I decided to visit on of my favorite places in Dallas, the Butterfly House at the Texas Discovery Gardens.

Located at the Fair Park south of downtown D-Town, this building is home to many butterflies at their different stages. They are a sight to behold when they are all inflight. They fill the room with their fluttery that will leave you in awe.

They swoop and dive and even land on you to take a rest. Some of them are co-operative enough to let you take their picture. I love butterflies, I always have and always will.

There were some festivities over at the Fair grounds as well, which included information booths on conserving energy, natural cosmetics (soaps and lip balms), planting new trees, and raising awareness on how important it is to recycle and upcycle.

The food stalls included yummy fresh fruit smoothies, mobile kitchens serving up hot and spicy American favorites such as hot dogs, corn dogs and sweet slushy-icy sno cones.

Everyone made sure put their trash in the right bins! LOL!

It is important for us to understand that there is only one planet Earth, and we have to take care of it because it is our home. Everyday should be Earth Day.

Remember to recycle and never to litter.
